How to order a wedding cake with Icingwizard Cakes
We know that ordering a wedding cake can be a daunting process, but here at icingwizard Cakes we have tried to make it a simple as can be process. You have probably found us either by meeting us at a wedding fayre, web search or by word of mouth, either way the process would be the same. Please see below for our step by step guide.
Step 1: Initial enquiry To get started please let us know your wedding date, your venue, how many guests you would like for the cake to serve, and if you have any design ideas or colour theme you may have. If you have any pictures of cakes/elements of cakes that you like please do send those over. we are then able to give you an initial estimate for your cake.
Step 2: Cake tasting If you already know what flavours you would like that is great but if not and you would like a taste box to try in the comfort of your own home this can be arranged. They are priced at £20 and will consist of 4 flavours of your choice from our flavour menu and can either be collected from us, we can also deliver if you are local or we can have them sent to you.
Step 3: Confirming your order Once you have decided on the flavours you would like and and any design alterations etc, we will give you a final quote and if you are happy with every thing that has been discussed we will send you an order form detailing all the elements of the cake. An invoice with the total cost and all payment details, and a copy of our terms and conditions which will form the contract between us. If every thing is ok then we ask for £100 deposit/date retaining fee.
Step 4: Finalising details About 6 - 8 weeks before your wedding I like to meet up with you both just to go over every thing, discuss delivery details and make any last minute changes if needed (extra costs may be incurred if major changes are made) the final balance is then due 4 weeks before delivery.
Step 5: Creation about 2 weeks before your wedding is when I will start creating any sugar flowers or other design elements ready for your cake to be delivered and set up at your venue on the day of your wedding.
